This medium-sized trogon measures around 33 cm lengthy and is also the only real trogon in Borneo having a crimson head and diagnostic (a definite characteristic) to the male. The male Whitehead’s trogon also has a blue bill and orbital rings, black throat, gray breast and pink belly.
